Can I turn off Tipping for everyone or per worker?
Yes, the Inspire by STX Tipping features can be turned off either for all logins in general or per worker via Worker Permissions.
TURN OFF TIPPING FOR ALL WORKERS
- Go to Setup POS & POS Devices
- Enable Hide Tip Options
- Click Save
The options to add tips from Checkout or Completed Ticket will be removed entirely.
If you use integrated card processing, that setting will be need to turned off from there also.
TURN OFF TIPPING FOR SPECIFIC WORKERS / AREAS
If you would like some workers to be able to tip, you can use Worker Permissions by following these steps:
- Go to Setup Worker Permissions
- Select the Permission Set
- Choose the Tickets permissions
- Disable the checkbox for either or both:
- Tips - Checkout: Will not allow them to add tips from the checkout page.
- Tips - Completed Ticket: Will not allow the to adjust or add tips from the checkout page.
- Click Save
