Clover: Assign a Device Name
Clover devices are renamed by logging into the Clover Dashboard online and then resyncing the renamed device.
Log in to the Clover Dashboard from your computer or tablet.
Navigate to Settings (Top Right)
Select Devices
Click on the Device to rename
Tip: Use the Serial Number located on the device to identify it in the list.
Select Edit (Pencil Icon)
Enter a Custom Name
Click Save
Next, from the recently renamed Clover device, go to Settings
Tap About Device
Click Sync
The device should now be renamed in Inspire by STX Setup POS & POS Devices and when selecting a device from Checkout > Charge. If changes aren't reflected, you may need to refresh the Inspire by STX > Checkout page.
