How to Remove a Ticket from the Checkout List

How to Remove a Ticket from the Checkout List

Overview
The Checkout List displays all open tickets within the selected date range. A ticket will remain on the Checkout List until it has been paid in full or voided.

How to Remove a Ticket from the Checkout List
  1. Navigate to the Checkout List.
  2. Locate the open ticket you would like to remove.
  3. Select the Ticket Number to open the ticket.
After reviewing the ticket, determine the appropriate action:
  • Void the ticket if it was created by mistake or is no longer needed. Once the ticket has been voided, it will automatically be removed from the Checkout List.
  • Complete the checkout process by applying the appropriate payment method. Once the ticket has been paid in full, it will automatically close and be removed from the Checkout List.

AlertWarn: If you open a ticket from a previous business date, a warning message will appear reminding you that if reports have already been generated for that date, you will need to regenerate those reports to reflect any changes made to the ticket, including additional payments, edits, or voids.

NotesNote: If a ticket continues to appear on the Checkout List, verify that it has either been paid in full or successfully voided. Any ticket with a remaining balance will continue to display as an open ticket until it has been completed.
AlertNote: If a ticket was previously closed, then reopened to make changes, it must be properly closed again after the updates are complete. Until the reopened ticket has been reclosed, it will continue to appear on the Checkout List as an open ticket.
WarningNote: If the original payment was processed using an integrated payment method (this does not include manual payments) and the ticket is later reopened, the integrated payment cannot be removed or edited. To close the reopened ticket and remove it from the Checkout List, you must complete the checkout using a different payment method, such as No Sale, if no additional payment is due.
