How to Update Google Chrome on Both Windows or Mac

Steps to Check for Updates

1. On your computer, open Google Chrome
2. At the top right, click the three dots (⋮) menu
3. Select Settings
4. Click About Chrome

What You’ll See

Once you select About Chrome, Chrome will automatically check for updates and display your current status:

• Up to Date – You’ll see “Chrome is up to date” along with your current version number
• Update Available – Chrome will indicate that an update is available and may prompt you to Relaunch to complete the update
• Updating – You may see “Updating Chrome” while the update is in progress

Finish

If prompted, click Relaunch to complete the update.
