Inspire v2.3 Release Notes

STX Cloud v2.3 adds many small but mighty requested features from our knowledgable end users.

IMPORTANT: Access to features may require updating the Worker Permissions to view. Please check Setup> Workers> Worker Permissions to provide access to new features.


STX University (NEW!) - Video training courses now available based on the role performed at the business.

Location: Navigation Menu > STX University


Change Back in Cash Counting (Enhancement) - Prior to this release, the change back in Cash Counted with uniquely for Cash Change Back. In v2.3, the change back now includes if there was Change Back on a Check, Clover or any other transaction noted. For example, if a ticket is $45.00 and the client pays $50.00 check, the system is going to note Change Back is -$5.00 and assume you handed them cash out of the drawer to pay.

Cash Counting New Fields (Enhancement) - All Payment totals are now noted to the right of the Cash Counting fields. Additionally, we have updated the formatting to note Tips Paid Out, Tips Left in Drawer, Cash Counting Total (the amount to expect in your drawer) and Cash Transactions. If you add up the numbers on the left hand side, that will give you the Cash Counting Total.

Tip Summary Report (NEW!) - See the total value of Total Tips, Tips Paid Out and Tips Left in Drawer for all workers in a single report by Cash Drawer & Shift (optional).

Guest Charge, Service Charge & Taxable Services (Enhancement) - Prior to this release, the Guest Charge, Service Charge & Taxable checkbox were noted at the time the appointment was booked. In this version, we’ve updated the functionality to reference those values at the time the appointment is checked in.

Worker Name added to Reminders & Notifications (Enhancement) - The Booked Services merge item in Notification & Reminders will now display the worker name associated with the service. For example: Full Highlight (Georgia D), Long Haircut (Shannon W).

Location: Setup> Setup Appointments & Emails> Notifications & Reminders


Find Appointments Search (Enhancement) - Find appointments limits the search to 2 weeks. If there are no availabilities within 2 weeks, a message appears to try the search again 2 weeks out.

Location: Appointments> Find Appointment


Upcoming Appointment & Past Appointments Noted (Enhancement) - a Client’s next upcoming appointment is now noted in Find Appointment window along with their last 5 service visits.

Worker Tip Report Totals (Enhancement) - The Tips Paid Out and Tips Left in Drawer totals now appear at the bottom of the report.

Location: Reports> Compensation Reports> Worker Tip Report


Purchase Order Quantity Field (Enhancement) - When adding a product to the Purchase Order, users can note the quantity prior to adding the product to the order.

Location: Inventory> Purchase Order


Purchase Order Sort (Enhancement) - Sort purchase order lists by Quantity or Cost. Location: Inventory> Purchase Order
 Client Count (Enhancement) - The total number of clients now displays in Client Card search. Location: Clients


Product Size Noted (Enhancement) - The size and unit of measure is now noted on the Check Out Receipt, Completed Ticket, Add Product Pop Ups, Product Usage, Purchase Order Search, Checkout Favorites Search and Checkout Products Search fields.

Edit Tips After Midnight (Enhancement) - Users can now edit tips after midnight. Location: Checkout> Completed Ticket


Book Out Time Scheduling (Enhancement) - All workers can be scheduled for a Book Out Time even if they do not work today.


Worker Days Off Overlapping Company Days Off (Enhancement) - When adding Days Off to the Worker Hours setup, the dates can now overlap with Company Days Off.

Company Merge Fields in Reminders & Notifications (Enhancement) - The Company Name, Company Phone & Company Email merge field options have been removed. Rather than coding {{Company.Name}} users can simply input their company’s name.

New Text Number (Enhancement) - We have updated our text message carrier to a new service and the text messages will now be sent from a new phone number.

Itemized Sales Report Hyperlinks (Enhancement) - The Itemized Sales Report now has hyperlinks to take you to the ticket.

Check In & Checkout Button Colors (Enhancement) - Below the Appointment Book is the Appointment List, we updated the Check Out button to be white and stand out compared tot he Check In button.

Total Sheet Only Displays Payment Types in Use (Enhancement) - The Total Sheet will now only display payments that were in use during the date range generated, prior to this update all payment types would appear.
