Sales Analysis Report
The Sales Analysis Report provides a detailed overview of your business performance by analyzing service sales, product sales, visit types, and productivity metrics. This report helps you better understand your sales activity, identify trends, and evaluate how services, retail, and appointments contribute to your overall business performance.
This report can be filtered by:
Date Range – Select any specific date range to review performance for that period.
Company-Wide or Individual Worker – View the report for your entire company or filter by a specific worker to analyze individual performance.
Additionally, the report can be exported or printed, making it easy to share insights with your team or for recordkeeping.
What You’ll See in the Report:
Service Sales: The Service Sales table displays your service sales broken down by Service Group then grouped by Service Name based on the filters selected.
This section includes:
Service Sales – The total dollar amount collected for services within the selected date range, displayed by Service Group and then by each Service Name.
% of Service Sales – The percentage of how many times this service group/name was booked in the selected date range, compared to all of the service groups combined.
% of Total Sales – The percentage of sales for each specific Service Group/Name, compared to all contributes to the overall total sales based on the filters selected.
Qty – The total number of time a service was completed based on the filters selected, shown by Service Group and then by each Service Name.
% Qty – The percentage of how many times a specific service group/name was booked, compared to all services booked based on the filters selected.
Average Price – The average dollar amount for each service based on the filters selected, displayed by Service Group and by Service Name.
This allows you to easily identify which service categories are contributing the most to your overall service sales.
Important Note: At the bottom of the Service Sales table, you will find several summary rows that provide overall totals and calculations for Service Sales:
Service Sales Total – Displays the overall total dollar amount for service sales, the % of Total Sales, the overall quantity of services, and the average service price.
Less Refunds – Displays the total dollar amount of refunded services, along with the overall quantity of refunded services and the average refund amount.
Net Service Sales – Displays the final totals after refunds are deducted. This row includes the overall net service sales amount, % of Total Sales, total quantity, and the average price.
Net Service Sales is calculated by subtracting the Less Refunds total from the original Service Sales Total.
Product Sales: The Product Sales table highlights your retail sales by Product Group based on the filters selected.
This section includes:
Product Group - Your products categorized by group based on the filters selected.
Product Sales - The total dollar amount collected of products based on the filters selected, displayed by Product Group.
% of Product Sales –The percentage of how many times this product was purchased based on the filters selected, compared to all of the product groups combined.
% of Total Sales – The percentage of sales for each specific Product Group, compared to all contributes to the overall total sales based on the filters selected.
Qty – The total number of times a product was sold based on individual product groups based on the filters selected.
% Qty – The percentage of how many times a specific product group was purchased, compared to all product groups based on the filters selected.
Average Price – The average dollar amount for each product group based on the filters selected.
This section helps you track retail performance and identify which product groups are selling the most.

Important Note: At the bottom of Product Sales table, you will find several summary rows that provide overall totals and calculations for Product Sales:
Retail Total – Displays the overall total dollar amount for retail sales, the % of Total Sales, the overall quantity of products, and the average products price.
Less Refunds – Displays the total dollar amount of refunded retail, along with the overall quantity of refunded retail and the average refund amount.
Net Retail Sales – Displays the final totals after refunds are deducted. This row includes the overall net service sales amount, % of Total Sales, total quantity, and the average price.
Net Retail Sales is calculated by subtracting the Less Refunds total from the original Retail Sales Total.
Company Visit Types: The company visit type table shows the breakdown of sales within the Visit Type assigned to completed ticket based on the filters selected.
This section includes:
Company Visit Types - Lists your company’s visit types by name, showing all visits recorded the filters selected.
Sales - Displays the total dollar amount collected for each company visit type based on the filters selected.
% Of Sales – Shows the percentage of total sales contributed by each company visit type relative to all company visit type sales based on the filters selected.
Qty – Indicates the total number of times each company visit type was selected based on the filters selected.
% Qty – Represents the percentage of total visits for each company visit type compared to all company visit types based on the filters selected.
Service Sales – Shows the total dollar amount collected from services for each company visit type based on the filters selected.
Service Qty – Displays the total number of services selected for each company visit type based on the filters selected.
Average Service – A calculated average dollar amount spent on services for each company visit type based on the filters selected.
Retail – Shows the total dollar amount collected from retail sales for each company visit type based on the filters selected.

Net Retail Sales – Displays the final totals after refunds are deducted. This row includes the overall net service sales amount, % of Total Sales, total quantity, and the average price.
Net Retail Sales is calculated by subtracting the Less Refunds total from the original Service Sales and Retail Sales Total.
Default Visit Types: The Default Visit Type (Inspire Internal Visits Types) table shows the breakdown of sales for each type of automatically assigned visit type based on based on the date range selected.
This section includes:
Default Visit Types - Lists Inspire’s default visit types categorized by name, such as Recurring, New Client, Online Booked, and Non-Service, for the filters selected.
Sales - Displays the total dollar amount collected for each default visit type for the filters selected.
% Of Sales – Shows the percentage of total sales contributed by each default visit type relative to all default visit type sales for the filters selected.
Qty – Indicates the total number of times each default visit type was automatically assigned for the filters selected.
% Qty – Represents the percentage of total auto-assigned visits for each default visit type compared to all defaulted visit types for the filters selected.
Service Sales – Shows the total dollar amount collected from services for each default visit type for the filters selected.
Service Qty – Displays the total number of services selected for each default visit type for the filters selected.
Average Service – A calculated average dollar amount spent on services for each automatically assigned default visit type for the filters selected.
Retail – Shows the total dollar amount collected from retail sales for each default visit type for the filters selected.

NOTE: Multiple Default Visit Types can be automatically assigned to a ticket. Example: a completed ticket can be both for a New Client and Online Booked Client. The sales will be reflected in both line items.
Productivity Analysis Table: Provides an overview of productivity, breaking down key metrics based on the filters you select.
This section includes:
Days Worked – Displays the number of days worked, shown both as a count of days and as total hours based on the selected filters.
Average Service – Shows the average service total, calculated per day and per hour according to the selected filters.
Average Retail – Displays the average retail total, calculated per day and per hour based on the filters selected.
Busy – Represents worker productivity as the percentage of time scheduled for services versus total available time. It is calculated as:
Important Note: Days Worked & Hours Worked Calculation: Days Worked and Hours Worked are calculated using the worker’s configured bookable hours set in Worker Setup, not the appointment calendar.
