Promotions allow you to create commonly used discounts that can be applied to services, products, or both at checkout.

Create a Promotion

1. Go to Setup > Setup Promotions.
2. Select + New.
3. Check the Active checkbox.
   • The promotion must be active to be available and applied to tickets at checkout.
4. Enter a Promotion Name.
   • Tip: Include the discount value in the name so it is easy to identify. For example, $5 Off Service or 10% Off Products.
5. Select what the promotion can be applied to:
   • Service Discount
   • Product Discount
   • Both
6. Enter the Discount Amount.
   • Select whether the discount is a dollar amount or a percentage.
   • Enter the amount of the discount you want to apply.
7. Optional select a Start Date and End Date.
   • These dates determine when the promotion can be applied to tickets.
   • If the promotion should always be available, leave the Start Date and End Date blank.
8. Enter a Sort Order number.
   • This determines where the promotion appears in the promotion list and the promotion dropdown on a ticket.
   • You can use any number that has not already been assigned to another promotion.
9. Select Save.

Important Note: If Non-Cash Payments is enabled in Inspire, promotions are calculated using the display price of the service or product. Make sure your promotion amount or percentage is set with the display price in mind when Non-Cash Payments are enabled. 

Example: If a service has a display price of $103.75 and a set price of $100.00, applying a $10.00 off promotion will reduce the display price to $93.75. The corresponding set price will then be adjusted to $90.36.
