STX Welcome App: Intro and Setup Guide



What is the STX Welcome App?

The STX Welcome App is a client-facing app that the customer can download to their phone.  Once downloaded, they can search for your salon by name or zip code.  Next, they’ll be able to do the following right at their fingertips:
  1. Check-in for an appointment today
  2. Receive a push notification to enter your business
  3. Book new appointments (optional)
  4. See past & upcoming Appointments
  5. Get directions to your business
  6. Call your business
  7. Share the app with a friend and so much more!

Set Up STX Welcome App

Registration is required to list your business on the STX Welcome App.
It is exciting to announce the STX Welcome App to your customers but first you’ll want to verify some information in your Inspire setup.

In Inspire, click the three lines in the upper left  and navigate to these fields.  
  1. Setup > Setup Company > Company Info
    1. Company Name
    2. Phone
    3. Email
    4. Street Address, Postal Code, Country State / Province, City
    5. Logo

Share the news with your customers on Social Media, Email Marketing and Signage to visit the Apple App Store or Android Google Play store to download the “STX Welcome App.”

Client Login Information

The Client’s Primary Email and PIN / Password is the same as their Online Booking login. Clients can select FORGOT PASSWORD from the STX Welcome App and the Inspire software will generate an email to them automatically with their PIN or Password.  
If a client creates a new profile and already has a client card, if they use the same email address - the new account and existing client card will sync.
If you would like to assign a password for your client, follow these steps:
  1. Go to Clients
  2. Search by Client Name, Phone or Email
  3. Select the Client 
  4. Click on the Appointments tab
  5. Update the Password field & Click Save

STX Welcome App Check-in & FAQs

How do I know a client checked in?

A notification is sent to the worker who the client has an appointment with via the STX Worker App. Alternatively you can refresh the browser on the Appointment book page.  The appointment border will update to green to note they have checked in. 

Will I get a push notification when a client checks in to my STX Worker App?

Yes! The workers(s) who the appointment is booked will with receive a notification that their client checked in.

How do I send a message back when they Check In?

Click on the Appointment to display the Appointment Detail page from the browser, enter up to 200 characters in the Send App Notification Field and then click Send App Notification. The client has to be logged in to receive the message. 


Do my online booking settings work with this app?

Currently the app does not honor if the business does not allow new clients to book online (Setup> Appointments & Emails> Allow New Clients to Book).
