What is a Non-Cash Payment?

The Non-Cash Payment amount is applied when a ticket is paid using a non-cash payment type. This amount will only apply to the following item types:

  • Services
  • Products
  • Classes
  • Memberships
  • Packages
The Non-Cash Payment amount will be reflected in both the Total Sheet and Itemized Sales Report.

Non-Cash Payment Types
The following payment types will automatically apply the Non-Cash Payment amount when used to close a ticket:
  • Clover / Clover Manual
  • Inspire Pay / Inspire Pay Manual
  • Token on File
Default Non-Cash Payment Types
These payment types are set as Non-Cash by default but can be configured to behave as cash by enabling the “Apply Cash Discount” setting within each payment type.

  • Gift Redeem
  • Account Charge
  • Check
  • No Sale
  • Partially Paid Tickets
  • Any custom-created payment types
Warning
 Important: Any ticket not paid fully in cash will have a Non-Cash Payment applied.
Notes
Note: Not all line items are affected by Non-Cash Payment.

Will all line items receive the NCP fee?
No — only Services, Products, Classes, Memberships, and Packages will have the Non-Cash Payment applied.

Items Excluded from Non-Cash Payment Calculation
The following item types will not have Non-Cash Payment applied:
  • Gift Sales
  • Deposits / Online Deposits
  • Prepayments
  • Received On Account
  • Miscellaneous
  • Tips
