Worker Permissions: Restrict to IP Address

In Setup Worker Permissions, when an IP address is entered into the 'Restrict to IP Address' field, access to the software will only be allowed when you are connected to the internet related to that dedicated IP address.  

Login - Browser: Entering an IP Address will only allow the worker to login via stxcloud.com from the IP Address entered.
Login - Worker App: Entering an IP Address will only allow the worker to login via stxcloud.com from the IP Address entered.
Time Clock: Entering an IP Address will only allow the worker to use the Time Clock feature from the IP Address entered. 



BEST PRACTICES FOR RESTRICT TO IP ADDRESS:
  1. Be Careful & Double-Check the IP Address Entered
    1. We only recommend implementing this feature on permission sets for workers and not on the main owner's account.
    2. If the wrong IP address is entered, the owner will need to correct the IP Address entry.
    3. If the wrong IP address is entered for the owner's permission set, the owner will need to contact STX Support, provide proof of ownership and then a Level 3 support tech is available to reset your IP Address entry. 
  2. Business Internet & Static IP Address Recommended
    1. A Static IP address is one that does not change, whereas a Dynamic IP address changes from time to time.  
    2. Business Class Internet is often required to utilize a Static IP address and isn't available with home or hot spot style internet.
  1. How do I find out my IP Address?
    1. Visit www.findmyipaddress.com
    2. Two will be offered, you'll want the IPv4 IP Address pictured below
