How to Reattach a Cash Drawer

Overview

When processing checkout, you may notice a red message at the top of the ticket stating "No Cash Drawer". This warning indicates that there is currently no cash drawer assigned to the checkout screen, and any tickets closed out during this time will not be associated with a cash drawer until one is attached.


How to Attach a Cash Drawer

To reattach or assign a cash drawer:

  1. Navigate to Setup > POS and Devices.
  2. Select the POS Devices tab.
  3. Locate the Device Configuration section.
  4. Find Cash Drawer and select the cash drawer you would like to assign.
  5. Select the appropriate shift that any tickets closed out until change should be assigned to.
  6. Select Save.

  


After saving your changes, return to the Checkout screen. The selected cash drawer will now display in the top-left corner of the ticket, confirming that the cash drawer has been successfully attached.
