Thank you for your continued trust and partnership with STX Payments & Inspire by STX Software. Necessary changes have been made to be in full compliance with current Cash Discounting regulations.
Starting July 7th, 2025, the “Non-Cash Payment” line item will no longer appear on client tickets. Instead:
The displayed prices for all Services, Products, Classes, Memberships, and Packages will now include the non-cash payment.
The Non-Cash Payment value will now be applied on all tickets not paid with Cash, including Gift Redeem, Account Charges, Check, etc.
The Non-Cash Payment value will no longer be applied for Deposits, Gift Card Sales, Tips, Misc, etc. line items.
When a client pays fully in cash, a new “Cash Discount” line item will be shown on the completed ticket, clearly reflecting their savings.
This adjustment aligns with industry best practices and ensures all payment types are communicated clearly and compliantly to your clients.
For continuity and compliance, there are a few things you'll need to do to on your end:
Train your team: Make sure your team understands the changes to the checkout and receipts related to the new Cash Discounting features. Checkout this quick tutorial video, self-paced slide show or review all articles & FAQs in our Inspire by STX Knowledge Base.
Update your signage: Once the update is out, update your credit card signage informing customers that you offer a Cash Discount using the new Cash Discounting signage. Signage must be displayed at all customer entry points and registers. Additionally, update your receipt memo to include verbiage like this "A X.XX % Cash Discount is offered when paying for goods & services in Cash.".
