Why Can't I Select a Worker When Selling a Product at Checkout?

Issue

When checking out a client and selling a retail product, a worker's name does not appear in the Sold By or worker selection list.

Cause

This happens because the Allow Retail Sales option is not enabled in the worker's profile. If this setting is unchecked, the worker's name will not appear in the list of available workers when assigning who sold a retail product during checkout.

Note: You must have access to Setup > Setup Worker Details to update a worker status to enable Allow Retail Sales. If you do not have access to this area, contact your system administrator to update the worker's profile.

Resolution

To allow a worker to appear when assigning a retail product sale:

1. Navigate to Setup.
2. Select Setup Worker Details.
3. Select the worker's name.
4. On the Profile tab, locate Allow Retail Sales.
5. Check the Allow Retail Sales box.
6. Select Save.

Once this setting has been enabled and saved, the worker's name will appear during checkout when assigning who sold the retail product.

Note: If the worker earns commission on retail product sales, make sure they have the appropriate Retail Compensation Method or Basic Payroll method configured. This ensures retail product sales are credited correctly and any applicable commissions are calculated.
