Location: Reports > Appointment & Client Reports

Account Balance Report Overview

The Account Balance Report displays a list of client balances, including amounts owed to the business as well as credits owed to clients, based on activity recorded on the client’s account. This report can be exported or printed at any time for your records.

You can choose from the following viewing options:
  • All Balances – Displays all client balances, including account charges, prepayments, deposits, and “received on account” transactions.
  • Balance Due – Shows only clients who currently owe a balance to the business.
  • Account Credit – Displays clients who have a credit balance owed to them.
Sorting Options
This report can be organized to better fit your needs:
  • First Name – Sorts the list alphabetically by the client’s first name
  • Last Name – Sorts the list alphabetically by the client’s last name
  • Amount – Sorts balances in ascending order, showing the lowest values first
Report Columns
  • Client Name – Displays the client’s first and last name
  • Amount – Displays the total balance amount (either due or credit) for the client
Balance Types & Display
  • Positive Balance (Balance Due) – Indicates the business is owed money from the client and will appear as a positive number
  • Negative Balance (Account Credit) – Indicates the client is owed money or goods from the business and will appear as a negative number
AlertImportant: The bottom of the list will show a total value of account balances based on the list generated by the report type selected.
