📣 ESSENTIAL INFORMATION FOR YOUR TEAM ABOUT CASH DISCOUNTING UPDATES TO PAYMENT TYPES & LINE ITEMS

After yesterday's Inspire by STX v4.3 update, our team wanted to share important details to pass along to your team to help navigate the changes to Checkout: - It is not compliant to charge a separate fee for credit card processing, therefore the Non Cash Payment amount is required to be built into the line item's 'Display Price'. The Non Cash Payment Fee will no longer be added as a separate line item.
A major change - Non Cash Payment Total is the ticket price for ALL payment types except Cash. This includes Check, Gift Redeem, Account Charge, etc. Moving forward, quote the Non Cash Payment Total by default, then inform them of the lower price when they pay with Cash to avoid mishaps. If you make a mistake quoting prices, follow these steps to resolve.
- The Display Price should be the listed price on your service menus & shelf talkers to be fully compliant. This may take a little time, but its important to view the Display Price as "the price". To view & manage your display prices, Click Here.
- Cash Discounting Signage should be updated and posted to each customer entry point and checkout station. Click Here to download & print.
- Gift Sales, Deposits, Miscellaneous line items no longer include a Non Cash Payment Fee. Since Services, Products, etc. will have the amount built into the price, you'll gather the NCP value when the gifts & deposits are redeemed. Click Here to compare the old way to the new way.
