Inspire Pay Multi-Merchant: Setup & Usage

Multi-Merchant is when there is more than one credit card processing account associated with your Inspire by STX account. The benefit is that a booth renter worker or separate entity can perform transactions that are linked to their bank accounts separate from the main credit card processing account.

To Setup a Multi-Merchant Account, follow these steps:
  1. Go to Setup > Setup Payment Types
  2. Click + New
  3. Enter a unique Payment Type Name and Abbreviation that is identifiable name for the additional merchant
    1. Enter a Sort Order and Upload Photo (optional)
  4. Enable the Inspire Pay Multi-Merchant checkbox
  5. Enter the Merchant Account ID
    Note: The Merchant Account ID field is provided by STX Payments or STX Support (see below in Internal Setup). 
  6. Click Save

To Complete a Payment with Multi-Merchant, follow these steps:
  1. From the Checkout page, go to the Payments tab
  2. Select the previously setup Multi Merchant Payment Type 
  3. A pop up will appear, confirm or update the Amount and Device
  4. Click Connect
  5. Complete the transaction from the device
  6. The funds from this transaction will go to the Merchant Account ID associated with the selected Payment Type.
Note: Alternatively, you can select Enter Manually to key in the credit card information manually.
