Inspire v2.8 Release Notes

Inspire Version 2.8 is due to be released on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022.

Overall Changes

Inspire v2.8 has flipped the style of the software from a blue gradient background with white font to a soft paper white background with charcoal font.  Many of the icons, buttons and fonts have been updated to flow with the new style. We hope you love it as much as we do! 

Important Note: If the Company Logo is white or a light color, it may look like the logo disappeared.  Click here to learn more about updating your logo and the online booking appearance. 

Setup

Setup Payment Types Remove Photo (Enhancement) - An option to remove a photo associated with a payment type has been added to Setup Payment Types
Location: Setup > Setup Company > Setup Payment Types

Require Visit Type (Enhancement) - Businesses can now require a Visit Type is selected during booking.
Location: Setup > Setup Appointments & Emails > Booking Tab

Online Gifts is now Gift Template with test option - Formerly known as "Online Gifts" tab in Setup Appointments and Emails, it is now "Gift Template", with a wider window to view the Gift Template and an option to send a test email below.

Setup Memberships Relocation (Enhancement) - Setup Memberships has been moved to be located in Setup > Setup Services.

Check In Permission (Enhancement) -  Permissions to give workers the ability to Check In appointments has been added. 
Location: Setup > Setup Workers > Setup Permissions > Appointment Permissions > Check In

Check Out Permission (Enhancement) -  Permissions to give workers the ability to Check Out appointments has been added. 
Location: Setup > Setup Workers > Setup Permissions >  Appointment Permissions > Appointment Check Out

Setup Promotions & Setup Rewards Relocation (Enhancement) - The area to Setup Promotions and Setup Rewards has been moved to Setup > Setup Marketing.

Setup Products Remove Photo (Enhancement) - The ability to remove a photo has been added to Setup Products. 
Location: Setup > Setup Inventory > Setup Products

Variable Ticket Fee 0 by Default (Enhancement) - The Variable Ticket Fee is now defaulted to 0.

Company Days Off Delete & Show Inactive Checkbox (Enhancement) - The show inactive checkbox will now appear by default and the action to delete  Company Days Off is now a pop up.

Appointments

Worker Photo Shows Week View (NEW!) - Clicking the worker's icon on the Appointment page will now display that worker's week view.

Worker Name Added to Day, Week & Weekday Views (Enhancement) - The worker's name is now displayed when viewing the worker's day, week or week day views. 
Location: Appointments > Day, Week & Weekday Views. 

New Button Order & Label Updates (Enhancement) - The Standing button now reads "Book Standing" and the Book Out Time and Message Board buttons have been reversed.

Find Appointment Any Worker Option (Enhancement) - Users can now add entries to the waiting list using the Any Worker selection.  
Location: Appointments > Find Appointment -or- Appointments > Waiting List

Modify Appointment Change Service, Keep Worker (Enhancement) - When modifying an appointment, the worker will not refresh when a new service is selected.  The Service Group preselection has been removed and now the Worker is displayed first.

Modify Appointment Search for a New Date or Time (Enhancement) -  To search for a new appointment, simply click the Search for New Date & Time button. The Find Appointment Page will appear with the worker service combinations and current date by default. Updating this function will now allow the option to select Any worker.

Waiting List Any Worker Option and Filter (Enhancement) - When adding an item to the waiting list, users can now select ANY worker as the preference and also filter the Waiting List results to show entries for Any Worker.

Check Out

Refund Displays Refund Receipt (Enhancement) - When a refund is performed, the receipt for the refund now displays.

Itemized Tips on Receipt (Enhancement) - The tips will now be listed itemized by worker on the completed ticket page and refund reciepts.

Clients

Client Card Fields (Enhancement) - The fields have been updated to be rectangle boxes instead of lines with the field description to the left.  
Location: Client Card > Multiple Tabs

Look Up Buttons are now Search buttons (Enhancement) - The LOOK UP buttons that were associated with Responsible Party and Referral are now Search buttons. 
Location: Client Card > Client Info & Client Card > Client Profile

Select Gender (Enhancement) - The gender selection is now a drop down with an option to reset to no selection. 
Location: Client Card > Client Profile

Print List of Future Appointments & Note (NEW!) - Users can now print a list of future appointments for a client. 
Location: Client Card > Appointments Tab

Select Booking Restrictions & Note (Enhancement) - The Booking Restrictions is now a drop down and the Booking Restriction Note is now a visible field instead of a pop up.

Inventory

Select All Inventory Active Checkbox (NEW!) - To mark an entire Product Line, Product Group, Retail or Professional list of products active or inactive, simply use the new Select All button located above the Active checkbox in Manage Inventory.

Reports

Sort By Added to Multiple Reports (Enhancement!) - Multiple reports have had the Sort By feature added.

Process Compensation Shows Only Tips Left in Drawer (Enhancement!) - The Process Compensation Report now only show the Tips Left in Drawer and does not include the Tips Paid Out.

Terms & Conditions Pop-up

Terms & Conditions (NEW!) - At first login, the same terms and conditions originally located on your monthly invoice will now be a part of the first sign on.
