Inspire by STX v4.6 is due out in March/April 2026, this document is subject to change until the release date.
If you are new to Inspire by STX, our updates are automatically pushed out and you will see a pop up upon login that there are new features available to you.
APPOINTMENT BOOK
Group Booking (NEW!) - Search for availability to book the same time for multiple clients or the same client from the Find Appointment feature. Simply click
Group Booking and select or add clients to get started.
Hide Doublebook Time (NEW!) - A new preference has been added to Setup Booking Preferences to hide the Doublebook time and allow the area to be clicked to book an appointment.
Modify Appointment Updates (Enhancement) - The Modify Appointment page will now
look like this and has been updated to include the following:
- Edit / View the Set Price and Display Price before Check In
- Modify Each Service Start Time
- Lock Start Times (by Default)
- Set a Preferred Price
Booking Allowed on Greyed Areas (Enhancement) - Booking is now allowed when you click during an unavailable greyed out time. For example, if a worker starts at 9 AM and you click on their 8:30 AM time slot, the system will allow you to book.
Same Day Booking Alert (NEW!) - When express booking, if the client already has an appointment on the same day - it will show a pop up with an option to Modify Appointment or continue to Express Booking.
Appointment Detail (Enhancement) - The Appointment Detail page has a new look to improve organizing the information.

Send Appointment Notifications Manually (NEW!) - The Appointment Detail page now has buttons for both Notifications and Reminders to send via Text or Email.

Preferred Duration Added to Express Booking (Enhancement)- Simply click Edit to view the durations and select if the service/worker combination is a preferred duration.
Show Canceled Checkbox (NEW!) - To see the cancelled appointments on the calendar, simply enable Show Cancelled Appointments from the appointment calendar.
Counts Added to Appointment Values (Enhancement) - On the left side of the Appointment Book, the total count of appointments associated with the Appointment Book values will now appear. For example: 9 | 63% Booked Online
CLIENTS
Client Card UI (Enhancement)- The Client Card has some small changes to improve organizing the information.

Client Search Pop Ups (Enhancement) - The Client Search Pop ups have some small tweaks to improve the overall look.
Store Multiple Tokens On File (NEW!)- To have multiple credit cards stored for the same customer that can be selected from a drop down in Checkout > Payments > Token on File.
Log Last 4 & Card Type for Tokens On File (NEW!)- Note, this will only be for NEW tokens on file, it will collect the last four digits of the card number and the card type (i.e. Visa or Mastercard).
Send Client Form (NEW!) - To have your client complete the Client Card information on their own device, simply click Send Client Form and the software will email or text the form to the client.
Preferred Price Feature (NEW!) - Similar to Preferred Duration, you can now assign a Preferred Price to a client / worker combination from the Modify Appointment, Checkout or Client Card page. For example, if a long time client always pays $50 for a haircut even though your new customers pay $55, you can enable the preferred price checkbox for their price to always be $50.
Client Card Tickets Tab (NEW!) - A new Tickets tab has been added to the client card that will display all tickets assigned to the client to easily locate deposits, gift sales, refunds, voided tickets, etc. associated with a client.
ONLINE BOOKING
Terms and Conditions for Online Memberships & Packages (NEW!) - In Setup Online Booking, you can require Terms & Conditions for Memberships & Packages.
CHECKOUT
Credit Card Device Default Setting (NEW!) - For Clover or Inspire Pay Dejavoo, you can now set a 'Default Device' once you select the CHARGE button. Once enabled, if you click CHARGE it will assume you want to connect with the selected device. To switch or disable, you can update your preference in Setup POS & POS Devices.
Multiple Dejavoo Devices (Enhancement) - The ability to add multiple devices and TPNS for Inspire Pay Dejavoo has been added to Setup POS & POS Devices.
Hide Services Added from Checkout (NEW!) - In Setup Booking Preferences, we added a new preference to hide services when they are added from Checkout.
Gift Redeem Number Payment (Enhancement) - The gift redeem payment will now show the gift number on the receipt.
Show Worker Name on Receipt (NEW!) - In Setup POS & POS Devices a new preference has been added to show the worker's full name below the service name.
Tip Preference (NEW!) - a new preference was added to hide or disallow adding tips in Setup POS & POS Devices.
Tips Added from Checkout Permission (NEW!) - In Setup Worker Permission, a new permission was added to Ticket Permissions to allow or disallow a worker to add tips from the Checkout page.
Tips Added from Completed Ticket Permission (NEW!) - In Setup Worker Permission, a new permission was added to Ticket Permissions to allow or disallow a worker to add tips from the Completed Ticket Page
View Completed Ticket from Checkout List (Enhancement) - A toggle has been added to the Checkout List to view Checked In or Completed Tickets.
Refund using Inspire Pay Dejavoo Manual (Enhancement) - For transactions completed by Inspire Pay Dejavoo, you can now refund using Dejavoo Manual.
REPORTS
Basic Payroll Report (NEW!) - A new report has been added to simplify payroll by assigning service and/or retail commissions, hourly pay and overtime pay from one simple setup page and results appear on one simple report. Additionally, we added Worker ID to identify the worker across other payroll systems in the CSV export.
Totals Added to Worker Process Compensation (Enhancement) - When you view the details for a workers process compensation, the columns for Services, Product, Hours, etc will now appear on the bottom of the table.
Busy Hours Added to Sales Analysis Report (Enhancement) - At the bottom of the Sales Analysis Report, the table has been updated slightly and now includes the total busy hours.
Daily Cash Drawer includes Worker Name (Enhancement) - On the Daily Cash Drawer Report, the Worker's name will now appear.
SETUP
Gross Margin is now Markup Percent (Enhancement) - The Setup Products page uses the Markup Percent, formerly displaying as the Gross Margin.
View Only Option for Hours Adjustments (Enhancement) - A View Only option has been added to the Worker Permission for Time Clock Adjustments tab.
INVENTORY
Inventory On Hand Report Updates (Enhancement) - The Standard Cost and Set Price now appear on the Inventory On Hand Report.
